Hammers for Heroes

Hammers for Heroes serves low and extremely low-income Kentucky veterans with much needed critical home repairs, so they and their families may live and age in pace in a safe, affordable and healthy environment. Over the past 2 years, Hammers for Heroes has provided critical home repairs to over 60 veterans homes.

The Repair Corps program is part of Habitat for Humanity’s Veterans Build, a national initiative that serves veterans and their families. Kentucky Habitat, in partnership with local Habitat affiliates, serves veteran homeowners throughout Kentucky with critical home repairs thanks to support from The Home Depot Foundation.We help veterans build strength, stability and independence.

  • New roof
  • Handicap Accessible Ramp
  • Plumbing and electrical repairs
  • Windows/doors replacement
  • New flooring

  • HVAC systems
  • Kitchen updates

Unfortunately, Kentucky Habitat for Humanity does not serve in all 120 counties in Kentucky and due to limited funding, Kentucky Habitat cannot assist with every need submitted. Please check our list of affiliates and the areas that we serve BEFORE completing and submitting your form.  If your county of residence is not on our list of affiliates, Kentucky Habitat cannot assist you at this time.
