Supporting Our Local Affiliates

Each year, KyHFH with funding through Kentucky Housing Corporation, HFHI and the USDA RD RCDI grant provides educational learning opportunities for our affiliates across Kentucky in the format of statewide conferences, one-on-one’s and regional meetings. Subject matter can include: construction, resource development, board development and recruitment, volunteer management, MPAR (mortgage policies & regulations), ReStore development and compliance, veterans programs, aging in place, financial management, to name a few.

Habitat on the Hill 2023:
Advocacy for Impact 

February 7-9, 2023
Washington, D.C. 

Habitat on the Hill is the HFHI Advocacy and Government Relations conference which is held every February in Washington D.C. Hundreds of Habitat staff, volunteers and partners families attend and make visits on the Hill to meet with our Kentucky Congressional leaders.

At Habitat on the Hill 2023: Advocacy for Impact, participants will learn about the implications of a changing political environment on housing policy and discuss challenges and solutions for advancing Black homeownership with national and local housing experts. Additionally, they’ll meet with congressional offices, celebrate a year of policy successes at all levels of government, and leave with the tools necessary to increase their advocacy impact locally.

Habitat for Humanity Kentucky Indiana Affiliate Conference

Meet with Habitat for Humanity affiliates from Kentucky and Indiana, and participate in multi-track workshops and educational opportunities for affiliate staff and volunteers.

Habitat for Humanity Carter Work Project

The Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project is resuming in 2023 and. as President Carter enters hospice care, we lift him up in our thoughts and prayers and continue the work in his honor.The 2023 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project will be hosted by Habitat Humanitarians and country music superstars Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood in Charlotte, North Carolina, from Oct. 1-6, 2023.
